Ms. King was born and raised in the Bay Area. Curious about human development, she earned a B.A. in Psychology with departmental honors and membership to the Golden Key International Honour Society from the University of California, Berkeley. This passiondrove her to commit to advocacy. She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Illinois. Ms. King's investment in psychology allowed her to bring a unique perspective, skill set, and compassion to her legal work.
As a law student, Ms. King took a deep interest in domestic violence. She gained experience at the University of Illinois Domestic Violence Clinic and the Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Clinic. These experiences in particular inspired her to begin her own family-focused practice after graduation.
The Law Office of Jennifer L. King, PC opened its doors in January 2012. Since then, it has incorporated and expanded to include co-counsel, paralegals, interns, and an assistant. While it has been presented with the opportunity to expand further, office strongly values the attributes specific to its size—collaboration, one-to-one support, and a family environment. Jennifer L. King is committed to protecting the interests of her clients inside and outside the courtroom. Although Family Law is her primary focus, she also holds years of Personal Injury experience gained alongside Richard E. Brown, a former partner of Melvin
Belli. She acts with a unique mix of personal zeal and professional experience. Ms. King was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2018.
Brigette Anderson-Atkins has been a certified Paralegal for over 13 years and has worked primarily in the areas of family law and civil litigation. Brigette earned her education from MTI College where she graduated at the
top of the class and on the Dean's List. She prides herself on making
clients feel comfortable during their time of turmoil. Brigette has worked for the firm since September 2015.
