Noel E. Guth
Noel E. Guth is a lifelong California resident, raised in a small Northern California town. Ms. Guth earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology from the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. Despite being accepted to medical school, Ms. Guth changed her career goals during her last year of undergraduate studies and accepted an internship at a law firm in San Luis Obispo. The experience and skills Ms. Guth acquired helped her gain acceptance to several California law schools, and Ms. Guth completed her J.D. at California Western School of Law in San Diego.
As a law student, Ms. Guth became devoted to public interest law. She gained experience at the San Diego
Volunteer Lawyer Program in the HIV and AIDS Legal Services Project. Ms. Guth was a two-time recipient of Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services, and also received recognition as one of SDVLP’s volunteers of the year for committing the most Pro Bono hours to the HIV and AIDS Legal Services Project. Ms. Guth frequently assisted at multiple clinics across San Diego County and assisted clients with various matters ranging from unlawful detainers to debt relief and Social Security matters.
After law school Ms. Guth became a paralegal at a civil litigation boutique that focused on family law and estate planning. Ms. Guth drafted all pleadings, prepared all discovery, and became very skilled in her practice areas. Ms. Guth’s attention to detail, thoroughness, research skills, and brief writing abilities helped win a seemingly impossible case of helping a grandmother obtain visitation with the children of her deceased son. Ms. Guth drafted an article summarizing her research and experience which was published by Santa Barbara Lawyer Magazine in November 2014.
